Now is a better than ever time to become a member of Daytrotter, who are constantly offering exclusive live sets from some of our favourite artists. Memberships only cost $2 a month and give you access to all the free sets ever recorded, you can also stream exclusive gigs from some great bands. It really is a great deal, if you aren’t convinced you can try a seven day trial. With recent sets from Blood Orange, Theophilus London and Washed Out it is a great home for underground music.

American indie rockers Grouplove are playing a free show in Beyond Retro on Monday, just off Brick Lane. This will probably be insanely busy but worth it, we have seen them live once before and loved their set. Their album ‘Never Trust A Happy Song’, includes tracks which have been featured on various TV shows and the latest iPod touch advert. They are playing at 6pm in the store.

Also on Monday night Bleeding Knees club are playing an instore in Rough Trade East. Their debut album ‘Nothing To Do’, which was produced by Dev Hynes (Blood Orange, Lightspeed Champion and Test Icicles), is released on the day. They are an Australian duo who are making some pretty good garage rock. This release will follow their Virginity EP, which came out last year; the EP featured a few personal hits such as ‘Teenage Girls’ and ‘Have Fun’ so we are really excited about this album. Pick up a wristband from Rough Trade on the day to get in, they play at 7 which should give you enough time to go to both the Grouplove gig and this one.

A few weeks ago we blogged a new Scary Mansion track and hoped it would be followed by more tracks and an album, our hopes were fulfilled this week with the release of ‘Nightmare Demos’ Leah Hayes’ (Scary Mansion) third album of amazing goth-synth pop. This collection of songs is slightly different to her previous outings as it is a collection of songs and demos that haven’t yet been released. Nightmare Demos came out on the 21st and is available now on iTunes.

OFWGKTA have done it again, they have totally trolled and mind blown the hip-hop music scene once again with the release of their new song Rella, this track features Hodgy, Domo and Tyler and is definitely one of their most upbeat tracks and you can definitely see a strong Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane influence. The video for this track is probably their most insane yet it features Hodgy firing cat turning lasers from his genitalia and Tyler as a coke blowing, wig wearing centaur, it is definitely one to watch. OF tape vol.2 is set to be in stores march 20th.
